Since 1978, I have been in private practice and have represented clients charged with many different types of offenses ranging from minor misdemeanors, traffic offenses to OVI/DUI, speeding and most felony offenses – from drug possession to aggravated murder.
As an intern in law school, I worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office and for three different law firms in Columbus as a law clerk. Right after graduation, I worked during the day as an undercover detective and at night, as a night prosecutor for the city of Columbus.
Soon after graduation, I started my own private practice and maintained an office in different parts of Columbus including the downtown area and German Village. In 1994, the Supreme Court Committee for the Appointment of Counsel for Indigent Defendants certified me as a Lead Attorney in death penalty cases.
In 2003, I moved my practice to Morrow County, the place where I was raised as a child. I have kept up with the changes in the law by participating in continuing education seminars that range from training in field sobriety testing and alcohol testing to death penalty seminars. I have also been the Morrow County Bar President since 2007.
