Helping People Like You for Over 40 Years

Since 1978, Earl K. Desmond, Attorney At Law, has been a private practice and has represented clients charged with many different types of offenses ranging from minor misdemeanors, traffic offenses to OVI / DUI, speeding and most felony offenses – from drug possession to aggravated murder.

As an intern in law school, Earl worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office and for three different law firms in Columbus as a law clerk. Right after graduation, he worked during the day as an undercover detective and as a night prosecutor for the city of Columbus.

Soon after graduation, Earl started his own private practice and maintained an office in different parts of Columbus, including the downtown area and German Village. In 1994, the Supreme Court Committee for the Appointment of Counsel for Indigent Defendants certified him as a lead attorney in death penalty cases.

In 2003, Earl moved his practice to Morrow County, the place where he was raised as a child. He has kept up with the changes in the law by participating in continuing education seminars that range from training in field sobriety testing and alcohol testing to death penalty seminars. He was also the Morrow County Bar President from 2007 to 2012.
